Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Neji were all walking along together through Konoha shopping district. They were once rivals with each other and never got along, but since they had acquired girlfriends, who were all friends with each other, they had also become friends. The group arrived back at Kakashi’s house and put the food away. The house was quite warm so the girls went to their rooms to take off the heavy sweats.
Earlier that day, Hichimaru was disappointed to learn that the team had decided to stay at Kakashi’s house where there were no mirrors. Part of his plan required the girls to lose confidence and become ashamed of how they look. A ninja without confidence is a useless ninja. If they could not see how they look, then their wall of self-assurance could not be penetrated. There was only one way that this dilemma could be solved.

Just as Shikamaru said those words, he noticed that there was something strange about Ino. He couldn’t pinpoint it exactly, but she was different (even more so than with her new “features”).
Everybody stared at Shikamaru trying to figure out why he had stopped talking. Sasuke followed his gaze to Ino. Ino looked sick now as her face was pale green in color.
“Are you feeling okay Ino?” Shikamaru asked.
“Yeah, I feel fine. Why?”
“Um, you look a little sick. You’re face is kinda green.”
“Green!? I think you’re imagining things.”
